Commercial Real Estate/Corporate Paralegal

Profile

Culp Elliott & Carpenter is currently seeking a driven, self-motivated, critical thinker who is eager to learn from our senior paralegals who provide best in class service for our clients. This position offers the chance to learn and develop the necessary paralegal skills on the job (formally and informally) and gain valuable experience working on sophisticated projects.  This position will assist Attorneys and senior  paralegals with the following:

Support real estate attorneys in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions and corporate transactions

Monitor deadlines, communications, due diligence, document preparation and pre-closing process

Implementation of systems to improve efficiency including closing checklists and preparing form documents

Under the direction of an attorney and/or a senior paralegal: Communicate with clients, title companies, and other interested parties as needed

Create diagrams and other supporting materials for client meetings

Prepare transactional documents

Competencies of the successful candidate should include the following:

Ability to move forward independently and efficiently once skill is mastered

Meticulous attention to detail and compliance to Firm standards

Work collaboratively with team of professionals including attorneys and paralegals

Strong interpersonal communication skills

Highly trustworthy and careful with confidential and sensitive information

Strong MS Word, Excel and Power Point skills required
