What is the purpose
The RE HSE Specialist Woodcreek is direct support and assurance for the Woodcreek Campus, associated contractors and stakeholders. The role is to identify risks and associated mitigations, ensure clear standards are in place, supports stakeholders and contractor partners and strive for Safety Excellence. The role supports both Facilities Management (FM) and FM Projects (Construction) within RE. This person will also develop strong working relationships with our key service provider partner, Compass, and certain key subcontractors to ensure flawless and safe operational delivery.

RE HSE Specialist Woodcreek
What is the role
This is an HSSE role within RE delivering on HSSE elements to Shell staff and contractors across the Woodcreek Campus.
As a RE HSE Specialist Woodcreek, you will be responsible of the following duties:
Support the site Shell Real Estate Facilities Management Team to develop, implement, and maintain Site HSE Documentation and Project HSE Management plans (as needed).
Also, will include HSE interface with appointed Contractor Partners to coach and advise them on Shell's HSE standards and review Contractor Partner HSE procedures, plans etc.
Lead Emergency Response related activities for the site to include drills & documentation, as well as manage our Capstone First Aiders and provide oversight to the Floor Warden process.
You need to collaborate with multiple business groups and will require the ability to work effectively with various internal and external technical parties.
Support site Business Continuity plans, Hurricane Response & Incident Investigations. The role will also lead assurance activities and be the Event Owner for RE related incidents at Woodcreek.
Responsible for local Risk Management programs; to include HEMP (Hazards and Effects Management), HRA (Health Risk Analysis), RE (Real Estate) Project Protocols, Annual Risk review & Annual HSE plan reviews.
You will support compliance with Group HSE expectations as well as local, environmental and safety regulations for RE activities at the site.
Manage site HSSE communications and relevant learnings to the site teams and businesses.
Requirements
What we need from you
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Candidate should have a minimum of 6 - 10 (six to ten) years HSE experience in Real Estate, Projects, or office environment.
ASP (Associate Safety Professional) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) preferred.
Experience in HSE management systems, Contractor HSE Management and Project management (construction)
Experience with Shell Control Framework as well as Federal and local requirements
Strong understanding of foundational HSSE processes and practical experience applying HSSE procedures, practices, and tools in relation to Risk Assessment, assurance, and mitigation
Ability to deal with conflicting requests, insights and opinions and comfortable working with, and leading through uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity, and incomplete information.
Strong safety leadership and modeling of behaviors that drive a generative HSSE culture.
Customer service mindset.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills including a proven ability to readily influence. Comfortable with communication at all levels from senior management to staff
Fluent written, verbal and presentation skills in English. Comfortable with presenting to small and large groups.
Ability to work effectively with internal and external parties on various organizational levels
Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders within Shell Businesses (including regulatory led Work Groups and/or Committees), HSSE personnel to ensure standards and practices are consistently delivered and maintained.
Influence personnel and business lines within and outside the HSSE structure.
This position may require travel < 10%.
